Babat-Djombang Stoomtram Maaschappij
The Dutch East Indies government granted the concession to the private tramway company Babat-Djombang Stoomtram Maatschappij (BDSM) in 1896. The tramways built by the BDSM provided connections with the standard gauge Nederlandsch-Indische Spoorweg maatschappij (NIS) Surabaya Pasar Turi - Babat - Cepu line.
The tramway was closely associated with the Modjokerto Tramway with locomotives being swapped between the two.
BDSM got the concession to build the tramway linking the town of Jombang and Babat. Route Jombang - Ploso - Babat (69 km) was built in 1899-1902 and route Ploso - Pabrik Gula Ponen (2 km) was completed in 1913. To serve the route, bringing BDSM 2 C21 locomotive while MSM brings 4 C21 locomotive. 6 C21 locomotive was imported in the year 1903-1926 from the factory Krauss (Germany).
Because BDSM experienced financial difficulties, the entire railway infrastructure belonging to the BDSM was taken over by the SS in 1916. From 6 C21 locomotive, today still left two locomotives C21, ie C2102 (belonging to BDSM, began operations in 1913) and C2103 (owned by MSM, began operations in 1907). C2103 displays in Transportation Museum, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Jakarta. There are currently 02 in the condition C21 is not complete because some of the components are not there anymore. C2102 stored in the factory PT INKA (National Industrial Railways), the city of Madiun, East Java.

The pictures below are the only ones I have of the class C21 but are representative of the types used, the B21s being smaller versions of the C21. C2103 was preserved at Taman Mini in 1987 and C2104 was derelict at Cirebon in 1977.
