When the Singapore
Tramways Company gave up in 1894 their bankers sold the remaining assets at
auction. The rolling stock and tram locomotives were acquired by the Tanjong
Pagar Dock Company for use within their premises while a bank used much of
the old track in the making of a new vault! |
